My day at HEB...

I say "my day" because I really was there for what seemed like all day.  The better part of 2 1/2 hours to be exact.  I'm not sure if I am just really slow this days... not zipping my cart at full speed through the aisles anymore... maybe it was the potty breaks... or maybe the fact that we really were out of everything so it was one of "those" grocery trips.  Ick.

My trip started badly in the parking lot.  I have one thing to say about my parking lot experience... if you are not "very" pregnant... please do not take the 'expectant mothers' spots at the very front.  It's just down right mean for the "very" expectant mother to drag race to one of these spots only to be beat by a 16 year old, very thin, beautiful blond in a cute SUV with very short shorts.  I'm just sayin...  The Lord had mercy though and I did get a fairly good spot.

I thought maybe early Monday afternoon most people were working and therefore I would leisurely waltz through without any of those grocery cart duals that happen when you meet another buggy at the end of the aisle... do I go first?  Do they?  I think every housewife in town was at HEB this afternoon.  I'm glad I brought my water bottle... braxton hicks are not kind.

I did have a few rays of sunshine... I was able to see a few friends... one with an adorable 3 week old baby who I get to go and hold and snuggle this evening.  And another who is a few more weeks pregnant than me and just so darn cute.  I sure hope she was able to get an "expectant mothers" spot.

The brightest ray of sunshine came when I was on my final aisle... frozen food.  I was concentrating when I look up and see none other than TYLER DODDS walking towards me.  My hero.  Seriously I almost cried at the relief I felt to see him.  (He was at an elementary school this afternoon playing a little concert and so he couldn't join me at the store to begin with).  He informed me that he came to surprise me to help me load the groceries into the car and then follow me home and help me unload them (something I was actually worried about doing by myself but never said anything about).  His timing was impeccable and I'm still not really sure how he did it.  How could he have possibly known I was still there since we had not spoken?  I guess he looked for my car in the parking lot... not parked in the expectant mothers.

So my psychotic trip ended on a wonderful note.

Love you all to bits... thanks for letting me brag on my man!
