Our friends are coming into town today!! We are so excited to see Trent, Natalie, Meaghan, and Cade. I can hardly wait! Trent and Natalie have been so significant in me and Tyler's lives and our walks with the Lord. Trent was Ty's youth pastor in Louisiana, and then moved to Midland and became my youth pastor. The Lord used them in so many ways, I can not even begin to describe. Natalie was not only "the youth pastor's wife" but she was my friend... and the older I get, the better friends we become. She was actually the first one to say anything to me about Tyler before we had ever met. We were sitting at Rosas, and she said "You have to meet our friend Tyler... you would be best friends!" Tyler and I officially met a few months later (since he still lived in Louisiana) and she was right!!! Natalie taught me what it meant to be a Mary... not a Martha. And so much about hospitality. Trent taught Tyler and I both what it really meant to be a worshipper and a leader. Tyler played guitar with him in their youth praise band in Louisiana... and then I sang with Trent in our youth band here in Midland. He was one of the pastors in our wedding and Meaghan was our flower girl. We have stayed in their home countless times. To host them in our home for the first time is a high honor!!
This Sunday is going to be a really neat time for our church! We have paid off ALL of our debt... Praise the Lord... and are having a big celebration Sunday evening. A big cookout... with homemade ice cream... Praise and Worship... Baptism. What a sweet time! To God be all glory and praise.
Have a wonderful weekend... I'm off to the grocery store, one of my favorite things!! hm... sarcasm??
