Number 4
Girl's Weekend this past weekend (redundant!) was WONDERFUL. But waaaay to short! We stayed at Courtney's parent's incredibly beautiful home near Lake Travis in Austin. It was seriously like staying at a resort... or actually more like a bed and breakfast since breakfast was provided for us Saturday morning (Thanks Mrs. Baker... I will have wonderful dreams and visions about your Gorilla Bread!). We all arrived late Friday night, changed into our p.j.s, and then had a miniature baby shower for Courtney and Baby Elliot who will be here in October! SO FUN, we even scarfed down some cupcakes from Hey Cupcake that sweet Paige had ordered for us! Baby Elliot received lots of things for bedtime including p.j.s of his own and several books! We stayed up well past our bedtimes chatting and then trucked upstairs to make ourselves go to sleep with promises to be up early so we could continue our conversations! I woke up Saturday morning to the smell of bacon and coffee and all but ran down the stairs! We sat around the kitchen and finally the breakfast table and talked for hours. Literally. Then around 11:30 we all got our suits on and went to laid out by the very very very nice pool. It was heavenly. And then we talked some more! We eventually pulled ourselves out of the refreshing water and headed to get ready for our evening. We left soon after for an early dinner at Hula Hut on Lake Austin. I seriously had one of the best Mexican food meals of my life. The chicken and guacamole burrito is where it's at y'all!!!!! And we talked and talked. After dinner we walked down the street and had coffee at Mozart's! And we chatted... are you surprised!? That's what these weekends are for! Talking!! These girl's are so encouraging... you just have no idea. I always leave a weekend feeling refreshed and so very blessed. We love each other so much.
Me, Courtney and Baby Elliot, Paige, Allison, Molly on Saturday night
Sunday morning, before we hit the road, we ate at an adorable French cafe. The coffee was ok... but the food was delicious!! My baguette almost broke my teeth. But I think that's because it was authentic.
By the way... my friends blog too! Molly is an AMAZING artist, and she's about to reopen her Etsy shop! Courtney is just precious... her latest post: The TTYSNFFTASOAPIRTPAB Post... is awesome... it rings so true... but it struck me really funny! Allison and her husband Justin have a personal blog, but you can find out more about what they do on the His Voice For Sudan site. Justin blogs there from time to time. Paige doesn't blog right now, but she should.... she definitely should! She's hilarious.
Love you girls!!
And the rest of you... I love you too!

By the way... I stole these pictures from Molly. Thanks!
