A Random Monday and Some Advice... From You.
Has it been more than a week since we spoke!?
I'm not all that sure what happened last week. Aubrey and I both have been a bit under the weather with our allergies going nutso. And we've just been lethargic and ick. So needless to say... we did a lot of movie watching and cuddling.
We were able to spend some time with friends last week... and I did get out of the house once or twice. So it turned out to be a rather wonderful week. Ty and I even finished it off Friday night with a dinner at Osaka. So fun. And delicious! It's a Japanese Steakhouse, where you sit with a bunch of people you don't know, so I was happy that no one really wanted to interact with us. Clearly we were on a date. No one spoke to us. And I was OK with that. Is that bad? I think not. So we cuddled close and enjoyed our sushi and stir fry. I would like to go back soon, or every day. Maybe if we win the lottery. But we have to buy a lottery ticket first. Hm.
Right now. As I sit here and type this... I have a pounding headache. Or maybe it's the pounding of the roofers' hammers since we ARE getting a new roof. Finally. The Dodds' are wonderful procrastinators. We have had our insurance check to get a new roof after a terrible hailstorm for about 18 months now. Better late than never right!? But I do have a pounding headache that is keeping rhythm with their busy work.
You care about that right!?
Well whatever, maybe you can help me with something.
I have the travel bug. This happens to me every few months, or maybe every few weeks, or days. It just depends on life around here. I guess since we haven't been traveling as much as we used to, I just feel like we have to get out of town. Go to the big city. Plus we have some airline miles that literally expire in a couple of weeks. So what do you think?? If you were us... The Dodds... where would you go within driving distance (we are going to use our miles for hotel stays)... and what would you do. Like we were thinking Austin, but we don't know what we would do.
Basically what I'm asking is if you know of anything totally awesome and cool that we don't know about. Either in Austin or Dallas or San Antonio or Houston or anywhere in Texas except El Paso. Sorry El Paso, you are just too dusty and hot this time of year.
Oh and we don't like outside activities. SO anything that would leave us out of breath or sweaty is just out of the question.
So please leave a comment and state the following. Or you can leave a comment on my Facebook page if you are visiting from there!
1. The city we should visit.
2. The restaurants we should eat at.
3. The activities we should partake in.
We'll only be wherever for 2 nights.
LOVE YA TO THE MOON.
Please plan my life.
And I'm sorry I'm in a weird mood. Please forgive me.
