Ducks

Aubrey Grace and I visited the duckpond for the first time this week since we started working on animals and their sounds. She LOVED it! We walked around the whole little lake and stopped every so often to watch the duckies. Aubrey was cracking me up giggling and saying, "kak kak kak." She can't quite make the "qu" sound. It's hilarious and wonderful and darling! I was so proud that she made the connection. Real live ducks... not in a book... not a rubber ducky in the tub. I don't know why I hadn't thought of going there before... it was actually very relaxing! The early mornings here are just lovely... warm but not blazing hot.

I'm sure this guy was king of the territory. He was huge!
At one point he started walking towards the stroller, and Aubrey actually got a little nervous, and looking at me as if to say... "Mother... do sommmmmething!" So I backed away. "It's OK sir... we are nice and friendly people."

Did y'all do anything fun this week!?

Love ya!
