The Weekend Update...
Our weekend was great!!!! Friday night we went over to the Gully's house and had so so much fun! Mike and Jody have a very special family situation I guess you could say... and we love all 7 of their kids to bits and pieces. We had hamburgers for dinner, and then for dessert Mike got the fire pit outside ready so that we could have smores!! This was TDodds' first smores experience, which was hilarious... I had no idea that he had never had a smore! I had forgotten how much I loved them... and Kendal brought dark chocolate... so mine was particularly wonderful. I don't like my marshmallows burnt to a crisp... just lightly browned. TDodds decided that the more burnt the marshmallow... the better the smore. We were going to carve pumpkins... but Jody felt like the kids were too hyper. I sort of thought maybe 7 kids running around with carving knives might not be a good idea either!! So Jody melted caramel, and we we made caramel apples instead! The kids LOVED all of the excitement, and it was such a treat for us as well!
Aubrey Grace was so content to just watch all of the craziness!!
Saturday, we had a nice relaxing morning at home, and then that afternoon I went with a couple of BFF's Molly and Jenna to see the movie "Whip-it." It was really funny! Not really my style of movie I guess you could say... but it was a fun movie to see with some girlfriends! While I was at the movies, TDodds and Aubrey Grace went on a date to Best Buy! Ha... I guess Tyler should enjoy getting to pick where they go on their outings... because it won't be long before Aubrey Grace is begging us to go somewhere like Chucky-Cheese. Maybe we'll be lucky and she won't like pizza! Saturday night, Tyler and I stayed in and made this recipe from none other than the Pioneer Woman (of course), with our left over brisket. It was AMAZING! Aubrey went to sleep around 845 and then we watched a movie.
I hope that you all had a fabulous weekend!! I don't know about y'all... but we have a busy busy week ahead!! Love you all!
