Tyler's trip to El Salvador was great and very successful. They were able to get lots of planning and preparing done in two days. I am thankful that Ty's next "overseas" trip is with ME! We leave for El Salvador on November 6th. It's getting very close! Two weeks.
It doesn't seem like it should already be the end of October. We turned the heater on for the first time last night, and I was so cold that I had to wear pajama pants. It was surreal. Soon it will be Thanksgiving... and then CHRISTMAS! Oh I just love the Holidays! We are spending a week in North Carolina with Ty's parents for Thanksgiving and I'm already excited about having some time with them.
Since I haven't blogged in a whole week... I will catch you up on all of the high points...
Tyler came home late last Wednesday night from El Salvador, and then we left Thursday morning for some very important Sabbath/Retreat time in Ft. Davis, TX. We really love that place. It's so quiet. We rested amazingly well in the super cute little cottage we stayed in. I think one of the main reasons I love Ft. Davis is for The Hotel Limpia's cream cheese mashed potatoes. OH MY, I could eat my weight in them. My WEIGHT. Their food is so good! You must go there.
We traveled back on Saturday and then enjoyed the rest of our weekend at home. Monday-Wednesday were jam packed with work and normality. Praise You Lord. I will not complain about normalness. Not even sure if that's a word. We are excited for a couple of weeks at home before our El Salvador trip. We will be updating soon about ways to pray, etc... for us while we are there. Right now we are just PRAISING GOD for His phenomenal provision. He has shown Himself so faithful yet again... our prayer always being... give me neither poverty nor riches (Pr. 30:8).
Love you all... I'm glad we are friends!!
