I can't believe I'm blogging...
I have put off blogging for so very long and I'm not really sure why. Maybe I don't want people to know how dull our lives are right now. However, I do have plenty to say. I read friend's blogs and have become obsessed checking them often to see if anything new has been written, so I might as well return the gesture. Maybe someone will become obsessed with what I have to say! Highly likely, I'm sure.
I doubt Tyler will ever write in this blog... maybe I can convince him otherwise, but I thought it necessary for me to make this "our blog" since it's "our life." You may think it's silly, but I do not. Tyler is in the ministry. He's an amazing worship leader and song writer. I find that I enjoy sitting under his leadership more than anyone else's. Maybe I'm a bit partial. I always knew I would marry someone in the ministry, because the Lord birthed in my heart early on the desire to be a minister's wife. Which in and of itself is a calling.
We live in McDonough, GA. a suburb south of Atlanta. My favorite part of where we live is where we live. Our home is awesome. Each time Tyler and I walk in we both utter a sigh of relief. I had prayed before we moved here, that the Lord would already be preparing our home to be a place of solice and rest. It's amazing that the Lord cares to answer even small prayers such as that. We have learned so much since being here. We are now our own family... Tyler and Bailey Dodds. I think we finally understand the beauty of being seperate from our parents. It's taken two and a half years, but of course, it's worth it. Georgia has been a place of growing. We are now praying for a place of going.
Today has been so restful, and yet a bit boring. Maybe that's why I decided to blog. As of now, we only have one vehicle, and Tyler is using it today, so I'm stuck here. He is at his studio writing music... creating. I can't wait for him to come home. I substitute teach some of the time and will be working tomorrow, so I guess I should enjoy the restful day at home! I'd love to walk down and get the mail, but my key is in the car, and it's possible that I might die from the humidity! Uck, I'm so ready for fall. NO, I'm more ready for the holidays. Oh I can just smell Christmas now... the cold, crisp air; chimmney smoke; cinammon; even the smell of wrapping paper. Yes, wrapping paper has a smell. I LOVE the feel of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Well, I will go now and find something productive to do!
Love to all,
Me... and he?
